From Poland to the World: ARAM Powers Yet Another International Pokémon Championship

The Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC) 2026 once again showcased the highest level of competition in the Pokémon universe, bringing together top players from around the world. But behind the incredible stage, lighting, and technical production stood ARAM, a Polish company that has now delivered its expertise to the event for the fifth consecutive year. As the main technical production company, ARAM was responsible for ensuring that the event’s stage design, lighting, audio, multimedia, and special effects matched the prestige and scale of this international championship. Held at ExCeL London from February, 2026, EUIC gathered thousands of players and spectators, with millions more watching online.

A Polish Company at the Heart of a Global Gaming Phenomenon

From esports tournaments to large-scale entertainment productions, ARAM has solidified its position as a global leader in event technology. Being entrusted by Fanfinity Agency for the fifth year in a row speaks volumes about the company’s reliability and expertise in delivering world-class productions.

“We are incredibly proud to have been part of Pokémon EUIC once again,” said Jacek Strugała, Head of Production at ARAM. “Each year, we push the boundaries of event production to ensure that players, fans, and online audiences experience something truly spectacular.”

What It Takes to Power a Championship of This Scale

Bringing an event of this magnitude to life requires a specialized team, cutting-edge technology, and precise execution. ARAM took on the challenge of designing and constructing the stage while ensuring that the lighting created an immersive atmosphere that heightened the competition’s energy. High-impact multimedia and special effects played a crucial role in engaging both the live audience and those watching remotely, making every moment of the championship feel larger than life. The audio setup was carefully engineered to deliver crystal-clear sound for live commentary, gameplay, and audience interaction, ensuring that every detail of the competition was experienced to its fullest. With 63 crew members working intensively over three days of setup, ARAM successfully executed a production that met the high standards expected of an event of this caliber.

Behind the Scenes: The Technical Side

Let’s take a closer look at the technical aspects of this project. We’ve already mentioned the lighting challenges. The nearly 400 fixtures included models such as: 32 GLP JDC1 units, 68 Martin MAC One units, 32 Robe Mega Pointe units, 44 Ayrton Khamsin-S units, 10 Prolights EclPanel TWC units, 32 Claypaky Tambora Linear 100 units, 20 Ayrton Perseo units, and 75 Martin MAC Aura PXL units, as well as many others. The multimedia-based lighting design was particularly impressive. Paweł Pawelec, Technical Director at ARAM, explains this aspect: “A single stage measuring 62 meters wide and 10 meters deep was divided into 4 independent, smaller stages. A total of 1,308 M3 Magic LED modules were used as the background. Unilumin Upad III P2.6 LEDs, consisting of 40 modules, were used in the desks. The same LED was suspended above each stage as a PGM, in a 10-by-6 module configuration. Additionally, two extra screens were installed in the center of the hall so that more attendees could watch the event. And one more quote: “As for the LED screens, the primary model was the YesTech M3 Magic 3.9mm, with a total area of 340 m², while an additional 104 m² was achieved using Unilumin Upad III 2.6mm, serving as PGM screens for the audience. “The total resolution of all screens across the four stages was 22K, which well reflects the scale of the project,” summarized Aleh Fralou, multimedia producer. Other elements, such as the set design and special effects, also contributed to the drama. Special extensions were built above the LED screens, forming an integral part of the stage, and backdrops were used to achieve a visually cohesive effect. At key moments of the show, 20 sparklers were used to heighten the excitement, which also gave the final ceremony the right atmosphere. All of the venue’s very strict safety requirements had to be met here. However, unlike typical pyrotechnic effects, sparklers generate cold sparks that are safe for the surroundings and do not require the establishment of buffer zones.

Pokémon EUIC 2025: A Landmark Event in Competitive Gaming

This year’s Pokémon EUIC featured top-tier competition in multiple categories, including Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE. With a prize pool exceeding $500,000, the stakes were higher than ever. Champions in various divisions earned valuable Championship Points on their road to the 2025 Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim, California.

A Bright Future for ARAM in Global Events

With its continued success in executing large-scale productions, ARAM is further cementing its reputation in the global live event industry. The company’s work at Pokémon EUIC 2025 highlights its ability to merge technical excellence with creative vision, ensuring unforgettable experiences for players and audiences worldwide.
